Position Overview & Specifications
The successful applicants will be assigned to one of 7 critical care units (6 based at the Denmark Hill site in South London, with a further 1 unit based at the Princess Royal University Hospital in Bromley), where they
will work as part of the team of 9 resident doctors. The residents are responsible for the day-to-day management of patients on the critical care unit, under the supervision of a consultant intensivist.
Each unit has at least two on-call resident doctors during the day and one overnight. The critical care units are supported by a team of senior clinical fellows (SCF) and advanced critical care practitioners (ACCP) as well as the unit's on-call consultant.

This post is designed to provide experience in Critical Care to doctors who are familiar with the NHS and are considering pursuing a career in Intensive Care Medicine. The residents will be responsible for the day-to-day management of patients on the critical care unit, under the supervision of a consultant intensivist.
