Stores Team Leader

On behalf of our client we have an immediate and permanent opportunity for an experienced Stores Team Leader.

Our client is an award-winning manufacturing organisation looking to add a Stores Team Leader to their small and friendly stores operation team.

Duties:

• The regular audits of all stock materials, using FIFO principles and stock rotation, ensuring minimal deterioration.
• That the goods inwards inspection system is maintained and that suppliers are monitored against the quality assurance standards, raising QA documentation when required.
• That stocks are held in accordance stock valuation targets.
• Ensuring that all jobs are kitted to the required date and any shortages are reported for expediting. Liaising with senior departmental supervisors on kit shortages or problems.
• Close liaison between the Materials department, ensuring that material are ordered and that stock outs do not occur, ensure all computer entries on the MRP system are transacted on the date of receipt or issue.
• To organise that perpetual stock checks are carried out and that the stock is adjusted in a timely manner, carrying out audit trails wherever possible.
• The re-ordering of internal parts so that outages do not occur.
• That inter-company materials are delivered on time using the most cost-effective means.
• That any damaged stock is written off and monitored. Material returning from jobs is booked back into stock and located back into the stores.

Skills/experience:

• Strong experience in a Stores role is essential
• Counterbalance forklift is an advantage but not essential
• Ability to use computerised stock control system
