Position Overview & Specifications
We are the second-largest and fastest-growing children’s magazine publisher in the UK, and are seeking a full-time Editorial Assistant to join our Editorial team.
This exciting and varied role will primarily involve preparing and writing editorial for an audience spanning pre-school to pre-teen and proofreading a range of titles.
The ideal candidate will exhibit creative flair, be confident writing for the children’s market and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where adaptability is key. Educated to degree level in a relevant subject is preferred, but not essential.
Our hybrid working scheme allows full-time employees to work from home two days a week, but due to the rural location of our office it’s crucial that candidates have their own mode of transport or that they assess the public transport route to our office prior to submitting their application. We are also trialling a four day working week, which successful candidates can opt into after passing their probation period.
Successful applicants will be required to complete writing and proofreading tasks before attending an interview at our offices.
For us to consider your application, please send your CV and a cover letter, including your current role and what arrangements would need to be made to take up the role (e.g., notice period at current workplace, relocation, etc). No agencies or freelancers, please.
