Position Overview & Specifications

As a key member of our Design System team, you will have the chance to showcase and grow your design skills in partnership with experienced colleagues, driving foundational design work impacting a diverse range of web apps in Asset Management. This role offers an unparalleled opportunity to engage with senior leaders and shape the future of JPMorgan Asset Management.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with a small, cross-functional team to deliver a user-centered Design System that meets both business and user needs
  • Drive and contribute to all aspects of the design process, including user research, wire framing, prototyping, and visual design
  • Engage with senior business and product leaders, gathering valuable feedback and insights to inform and refine your design decisions
  • Present your work to a wide range of stakeholders, demonstrating the value and impact of your designs on the overall product and organization
  • Stay current on UX design trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to ensure our platform remains at the forefront of the industry

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in UX, HCI, related fields, or practical work experience in design with proven UX/ UI experience in a product or agency environment
  • Portfolio examples and Case studies that detail UX process, problem solving and demonstrate experience working on a large-scale token-based Design Systems
  • Intermediate to expert proficiency with Figma, including components, auto-layout, prototyping, tokens and plugins with s trong knowledge of color theory, typography, and interaction design principles
  • Knowledge of HTML and CSS, the ability to communicate fluidly with developers and be agile to developer and product manager feedback on costs and feasibility
  • Ability to create and maintain documentation describing the standards and best practices of our Figma component library as a reference for designers, developers and product managers
  • You're a self-starter, proactive, and comfortable contributing ideas to aid decision making
  • Experience employing collaborative techniques to drive sign-off, gain adoption from stakeholders and communicate the value of design

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills :
  • You're eager and able to demonstrate the value that can be unlocked as a result of the work you produce
  • Knowledge of a JavaScript UI framework, preferably React
  • Understanding of component driven UI, props, state, composition of components
