Position Overview & Specifications

J D Winter Ltd is a plumbing contractor working with some of the best new construction sites based around the North East of England. We are currently recruiting for an organised and driven Customer Care Coordinator. We are a family run business based in Co Durham DH7.

In your role as Customer Care Co-ordinator you will be responsible for giving the best customer service possible to our customers which are the builders we work for and their home owners.

The successful candidate must be organised and adaptable with attention to detail and be self-motivated to succeed along with the ability to work well under pressure both individually, and as part of a wider team with our buyer, plumbers and our third-party customers. Interacting with new homeowners, site managers, and other sub-contractors daily. You must have fantastic communication skills. The ability to remain calm when under pressure and proactively problem solve using resources available due to the conflicting priorities the team face daily.

Customer Care Coordinator Key Duties include but not exhaustive:

  • Fully adhere to the companies standard Customer Care policies and procedures, ensuring that all issues raised by our customers are dealt with professionally, quickly and to their complete satisfaction
  • Ensure all contacts (calls, and emails as well our builder portals) received are handled professionally and courteously, with all issues appropriately recorded.
  • Coordinate with colleagues to ensure the department provides continual telephone cover throughout the working day.
  • Communicate with the Customer Care Manager to ensure all issues are dealt with by the appropriate personnel and in a cost-effective manner.
  • Provide administrative support for the Department, to include, handling and responding to all customer correspondence.
  • Diary Management and updates are an important and essential part of this role.
  • Carry out the other appropriate ad hoc duties as and when required.
  • Being able to prioritise work load in accordance with the builders we work for giving the best customer care support possible.

Customer Care Coordinator Salary and Benefits:

We are a family run business, with a small team environment. We work hard but also love a laugh and that is important to us to get the right person to blend in with our small team.

This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday 8.00am to 3.30pm. (35 hours) and you will report in and take direction from the Customer Care Manager. Salary £20-£22K depending on experience.

Person Specification

We are looking for a self-motivated person who can work as part of a team, but also unsupervised and understand prioritising workload.

You should have worked previously either in the plumbing industry or construction industry as we will expect you to hit the ground running when you start. Full training on our systems will of course be given, but some understanding of the industry is essential. You must also be proficient in Excel, Word and email.
