Location: Huncoat Industrial Estate, Accrington, BB5
Salary: Hourly rate dependent on experience plus nights and weekend premium
Job Overview
As a Clayton Park production operative, you will be an integral part of our focused and energetic team, striving to achieve optimum levels of machine efficiency and product quality.
Our job covers all areas of production from the start of the process i.e. machine set up, machine operation, quality-checking products and all the way through to the final clean down.

Clayton Park Bakery is a manufacturing and distribution company providing a range of bakery products such as pies, sausage rolls, pasties, quiches, fresh cakes and sandwiches to numerous outlets across the North west, including Booths supermarkets and football clubs such as Preston North End, Liverpool and Everton. Clayton Park Bakery also run a van sales operation across the North West.
More about the Role
- Production, baking and packing various bakery products
- Working across multiple production lines
- Set up and run machinery used for the manufacture of bakery products to set specifications
- Completing of documents and records accurately
- Manufacture safe, quality food by following all relevant Health, Safety, Environment and Food Safety standards and working practices
- General housekeeping, and maintaining the cleanliness of the production areas
- Moving equipment such as trolleys and racks safety
- Adheres to site processes and procedures to ensure safe and efficient operation to produce and deliver unbeatable quality products

A Few Things about You
- To be a positive and organised individual
- Experience of working within a similar role is desirable
- Level 2 in food safety and hygiene would be preferable, but training can be given
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- To be enthusiastic, committed and self-motivated
- Have a positive outlook and enjoy working as part of a team, leading by example
- Good written and verbal skills with a good level of numeracy
- Ability to work in a safe manner and consider the safety of others
- Willing to work a flexible shift pattern which include weekends and Bank Holidays
