About the Role

Offshore Service Engineer

The Company:
ScanTech Offshore Ltd provide an impressive range of rental equipment, including air compressors, steam generators and rig cooling services, as well as designing, installing and commissioning bespoke heat suppression safety systems.

Our remit extends to the provision of qualified and competent personnel for the operating, servicing and maintaining all rental equipment, affording clients the highest standards of quality and safety for operations. ScanTech Offshore products are delivered worldwide from our key locations in the UK (Aberdeen and Great Yarmouth), Western Australia (Perth) and Malaysia.

The Role:
To operate, service & maintain the hire fleet in accordance with Scantech Offshore Maintenance procedures.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of equipment to meet Hire Office requirements
  • Ensuring service procedures and standards are followed in accordance with company guidelines
  • Maintaining safety standards as per the Occupational Health & safety Regulations
  • Packaging, maintenance and operation of company equipment both onshore & offshore as required following company service guidelines & procedures
  • Completion of service reports, minimum spares stock and handover sheets as required following company procedures
  • Maintain, livery, decals & signage
  • Calibrate relevant safety devices
  • Carry out third party inspections
  • Pressure test hoses when required
  • Working safely as per the Occupational Health & Safety Regulations
  • Maintaining a professional and courteous approach to customers and colleagues at all times
  • Any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by Line Manager within the timeframe specified, in a safe and efficient manner to meet business requirements, provided the instruction is reasonable and you are deemed competent to fulfil these.

QHSE:
To ensure all duties and responsibilities are carried out with the highest regard to Scantech`s safety policies.
All duties to be carried out with awareness to the environment and pollution potential.

Skills & Experience:
Experience of working in an offshore or overseas environment and of diesel or steam boiler mechanics.

  • Work at heights awareness training
  • Risk assessment training
  • Offshore survival training
  • Offshore medical certificate

  • Steam Boiler operating training
  • Air compressor operator training
  • H2S awareness training

IT proficient – Word/Excel and a driving licence would be ideal.

The Person:
You will need solid mechanical experience ideally from within a similar sector.
The ability to establish a good rapport with clients.
