The team

You'll be a senior member of the Commercial Technology and Change team, working in a cross-functional team at the forefront of shaping and delivering the ITV Commercial transformation agenda . You’ll have a significant influence on ITV’s success in this area with strong backing and support from ITV leadership across Commercial, Strategy and Technology.

The role

We have an exciting opportunity in our new Insights team. Our mission is to unlock data about our customers to power relationship, sales & trading conversations.

You will quickly establish yourself as the delivery authority and, through your team, will manage phased delivery of our strategic data vision. Addressing today’s user and software application needs, but also drive the discovery of our future new innovative product offerings.

• Define and gain consensus around the delivery approach and plan across the different phases of technical development and acceptance across ITV, our technology partner and any other third-parties.
• Produce and maintain a high-level plan across your area of responsibility that covers activities of all teams involved, not just technology.
• Ensure that robust delivery plans exist and are used to coordinate delivery to ensure that the project outcomes are positive and project goals are accomplished.
• Coordinate & monitor phased delivery in support of our data related initiatives. Taking appropriate action to deal with anything that threatens our ability to hit milestones.
• Early and clear communication of any risks and issues that threaten our ability to deliver on time and subsequent management of these items until resolved.
• Identify and manage dependencies, both inbound and outbound, to ensure that impacted parties are clear what needs to be delivered by when and then drive progress until delivered.
• Define and operationalise effective governance, involving the right parties, to support delivery of your plan.
• Communicate well within your project team so that everyone is aware of the vision, requirements, deadlines, dependencies and any risks or issues
• Provide clear and meaningful status updates when required.
• Foster strong working relationships with your peers across ITV and within our partners and other third parties based on clear, honest and supportive communication.
• Support the Delivery Director by ensuring that they are fully in the picture and that there are no surprises.
• Recruit and lead a team of project managers that will sit across the various delivery initiatives.
• Motivate and lead your team - managing any performance issues as required.
• Ensure all documentation is produced in a timely manner and kept up to date and are clear and precise.
• Working with other stakeholders in the business to make sure our strategy is in alignment.

Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)

• 5 - 10 years project delivery experience, of which some should have been spent in the Media sector and/or Data related projects
• Extensive experience of managing cross-functional teams delivering scalable, robust digital products, as well as fast-moving, learning-based and agile environments.
• Extensive experience of scoping, shaping, planning and delivering complex and strategic initiatives
• Proven track record of having established successful business relationships, and have influenced and engaged with operational stakeholders
• Ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and simple manner with proven stakeholder communication and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of the UK broadcast industry & broadcast/OTT advertising market
• Knowledge of digital marketing and advertising industry

• Advertising platforms: Knowledge of the technology components that form the basis for modern digital advertising platforms
• Alignment approach: Has good influencing & people skills to build shared understanding and buy-in to new ideas and change effectively. Able to firmly address obstacles and resistance clearly and decisively without provoking unnecessary conflict . We work in diverse cross functional teams of multiple disciplines and our candidates need to be able to work effectively across that.
• Agile mindset: Has internalised core agile principles such as start small then iterate and execute work at human scale, but can apply this within the context of wider strategic goals and mid-term plans and commitments. Sharp focus on developing hypotheses and accelerating the path of user-centred learning to prove and evolve these.
