Experienced Level 3 Dog Groomer

** PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU ARE NOT QUALIFIED WITH LEVEL 3, or 2 Dog Grooming! ** MINIMUM 2 YEARS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED **

To include but not limited to the following duties:

• to be good with your hands for clipping and trimming dogs.
• attention to detail, and patience.
• to be able to handle dogs gently but firmly.
• the ability to calm and control nervous dogs.
• communication skills to get on well with owners.
• Bathing and clipping dogs to conform to a variety of breed-specific standard pet styles
• Detangling and removing matted hair if appropriate
• Drying the coat
• Checking for parasites and other skin conditions, reporting any abnormalities to the owner.
• Trimming nails
• Cleaning the ears
• Application of Spa Treatments, ie Massage paw wax, Cologne Spritz

The groomer is also responsible for accommodating any special requests from the owner and informing owners of any health problems discovered during the grooming process.

Established in 2017 we are located inside a 4500 sqft industrial unit which has been specifically kitted out to contain everything your dog desires to have the best day when they are with us! With lots of different breeds of all ages from puppies to senior your dog will learn suitable kind play, manners and how to be happy around other dogs.

Our Dog grooming Salon ' Dollys Spa' has now been open over 2 years and we are looking for an experienced, Level 3, friendly and professional dog groomer to help us continue to grow our amazing business.

You will job share with another groomer.

This position will ideally suit someone who is looking for flexibility with their hours.

You would be a huge part of an our exciting doggy daycare business and we need the right person to join us. Your reputation is just as important as ours and we need you to be at the top of your game. You will need to hit the ground running and be able to groom a variety of breeds from Standard Poodles to Cockapoos, and more!

We would like someone who has a great personality and fits in with our super friendly team. You must have excellent scissor skills, be able to complete a full groom of many different types of breed, and can handle all the usual techniques performed in a normal grooming salon including, hand-stripping, nails, Spa treatments and more.

We are lucky at IDDC that we already have a fantastic client base who are keen to use our Spa. You would need to hit the ground running but you will of course also receive great support from the team.

Salary is DOE and we ideally would like to find someone who has a few years of grooming experience and dealing with the public in a professional and friendly manner.

Skills Required:

• Experience of grooming is essential and we will need to see proof of previous places of work, and qualifications.
• You must be Self Motivated, and have both excellent people AND dog skills.
• Be commercially aware of how important standards are to the company. We are a small business and our standards and reputation mean everything to us! We are 5 Star rated on Google and Social Media and we wish to keep it that way.
• Be dependable and reliable. Time keeping is a must!
