Position Overview & Specifications

As our IT Business Analyst, you will be working closely with the Solutions Architects, the Transformation and Change Team and Business Partners, other Business Analysts to define the requirements for complex solutions to meet business requirements. These will include large scale bids and internal stakeholder requirements for continuous improvement of the service they provide.

We are looking for someone with extensive experience of delivering Business Analysis within a complex business and technical landscape. You will have worked in a formal bid environment as well as in support of operations and business as usual, establishing good working relationships with all stakeholders to connect the business needs to the technical solutions deployed.


In the role of IT Business Analyst, you will be involved in the following:

  • Capture and manage complex functional and non-functional requirements, with associated test scripts to confirm solutions meet the business needs
  • Develop a clear understanding of customer / end user requirements, using MOSCOW
  • Review Invitation to Tender (ITT) and bid documentation to elicit requirements.
  • Engage bid and operational leads to understand and document business needs.
  • Capture of problem statements / business needs / business rules
  • Produce detailed business requirements and process documentation
  • Undertake process analysis and create process diagrams to agreed standards.
  • Data analysis and business activity modelling, such as operational demand analysis.
  • Support options identification, assessment of fit and making the case for solutions.
  • Assist with the creation of business and project documents, presentations and workshops
  • Review business and technical designs
  • Work with Ingeus iDigital Team to ensure compliance with Ingeus internal requirements
  • Support the testing and implementation of approved operational improvements.
  • Support the development of Business Architecture artefacts and views of the business

As the IT Business Analyst, you will have:

  • Formal Business Analysis Certification (BCS, IIBA or similar)
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to facilitate the creation of the purpose, content, running and outputs of meetings
  • Working as a BA on large and complex programmes and projects
  • Experience of requirements gathering as part of large outsourcing bids
  • Experience of establishing a process catalogue and process
