Role Description:
The Assistant Accountant is a new role that is key to the efficiency of the central team. The role will contribute to the smooth running of the finance function by ensuring that tasks and financial transactions are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
Key responsibilities:
· Invoicing new business from SaaS (Software as a Service) agreements
· Maintain the sales ledger including raising of monthly sales invoices and credit notes, reconciliation of customer accounts and remittances
· Maintenance of purchase ledger
· Management and reconciliation of company bank accounts
· Reconciling balance sheet accounts
· Assist with month-end procedure
· VAT returns
· Assist with annual financial statements
Skills and experience:
· AAT Qualified
· Minimum 2 years’ experience in a finance role
· Previous experience using Xero preferred
· Computer literate with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
· Excellent communication and organisational skills
· Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise workload
