Health Care Support Worker

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a position as a Band 2 Health Care Support Worker to join the team within the PACU (Post Anaesthetic Care Unit) area on Rhiannon ward in Bronglais General Hospital, Ceredigion.

The PACU area will care for surgical patients of all specialities requiring enhanced care prior to enabling them to be transferred onto the main ward area.

The successful candidate will work alongside the registered nurse to provide all aspects of care to enable recovery.

The unit will be staffed from Monday to Sunday.

We are looking for someone who ideally has experience within the acute hospital setting, who can provide holistic care for our patients with the Health Board values at the forefront of their mind.

The post holder will be supported to develop their knowledge, skills and experience in all aspects of surgical care.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.
