Dietetic Assistant Practitioner

Hywel Dda University Health Board are seeking a Band 4 Dietetic Assistant Practitioner to work as an integral member of both the acute and community dietetic teams for nutrition support based in Bronglais Hospital, Aberystwyth.

The successful applicant will become integral member of the dietetic team working to ensure optimal nutritional care for patients as a key determinant of recovery and outcome. You will work with patients, their carers and the multi-disciplinary team in hospital and the community, support timely transfers of care, and as part of the team undertake delivery of nutrition education and training to other health and care staff.

You will demonstrate a good understanding of the role of nutrition in health care, be an excellent communicator, a team player and be prepared to undertake further learning and development to fulfil the scope and requirements of this role.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Hywel Dda University Health Board is the planner and provider of NHS healthcare services for people in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and its bordering counties. Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.
