HYPE are looking for a confident self starter with a passion for working in mechanics. You must be confident in your ability to communicate with individuals of all ages, and preferably have prior experience working with young people.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Enforce Health & Safety Policy within the workshop and during outdoor activities.
- Ensure all Tools and Equipment are serviceable prior to HUB Workshop activities.
- Inspect all Bicycles for damage and signs of wear and carry out pre-requisite repairs prior to issue to workshop participants.
- Maintain sufficient quantities of Cycle Tools, Spares and Accessories required for workshop activities, ensuring all orders meet the budgetary requirements of HYPE.
- Supervise; Mentor and Safeguard Re-Cycle Workshop Participants.
- Keep meticulous records of all bikes submitted for services and repairs.
- Ensure security of all HYPE premises utilised for Re-Cycle activities. To manage work in line with the HYPE policies and legal requirements including health and safety, child protection, equal opportunities, and financial regulations.
Qualifications and Skills
Experience
- Experience of working with young people in a school or youth work setting
- Demonstrable experience of using own initiative
- Demonstrable experience of working proactively and unsupervised
- Possess Relevant
Qualifications Skills and Abilities
- Able to communicate effectively with young people and those who influence them (parents, teachers etc)
- Passionate, enthusiastic and believe in making a difference in young peoples lives.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external partners
- Ability to work towards and hit targets
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 16 per week
Salary: £10.00-£15.00 per hour
