Role: Front Counter Officer

Department: Local Policing Command (LPC)

Scale: SC3

Salary: £21,432 - £22,677 (plus additional shift and weekend working allowance)

Location: Osborne Street, Hull

Hours: 37 hours

Contract: Permanent

As a Front Counter Officer, you will be responsible for providing a service to the general public by assisting with their queries and liaising with police officers and staff and different external partnerships, in order to service the needs of the community.

The role includes carrying out different administration duties such as creating logs and forwarding to the appropriate area, undertaking enquiries on police systems when required, and directing calls to the relevant departments across the Force.

Required Skills:

We are looking for someone who has experience of working within a customer orientated field with clerical experience, dealing with customers face to face but also over the telephone.

You will be working with minimal supervision, therefore the successful candidate should be able to demonstrate excellent organisation skills, including prioritising own workload, and possess a level of maturity.

There will also be occasions where you will be required to handle items of a sensitive nature, such as cash, drugs, firearms, therefore experience of working within a secure and confidential environment is crucial.
