Quality Inspector

Howdens are recruiting a Quality Inspector to join our team as part of our new paint to order service in Thorne, South Yorkshire. This is an exciting opportunity that will contribute to our continued success and will enable us to deliver our forecasted growth and extend our service to our customers.

Pay rate and shift pattern:

• £16.28 per hour and monthly production bonus
• Days based role (Monday to Thursday 7:30am–4pm, Friday 6am-2pm). The shift pattern could change as the project develops

What you’ll be doing…

• Identifying and supporting the resolution of issues within our manufacturing processes
• Inspecting and reporting against incoming materials against specification
• Creating schedules, conduct and report internal product/process compliance audits and repeatability
• Communicating with external suppliers and assist in the resolution of customer complaints
• Monitoring key aspects of quality compliance and championing quality improvement initiatives

What we’re looking for…

• Experience in a manufacturing or quality environment
• Strong organisational, communication and influencing skills
• Interpretation of drawings and technical/quality specifications
• Knowledge & understanding of ISO9001 quality standard (desirable)
