ABOUT THE ROLE

This is an exciting opportunity to make your mark in a small business committed to delighting guests by delivering an exceptional standard of cleanliness in our holiday rental properties within a 10 mile radius of Salisbury, Wiltshire.

In your role as a Cleaner/Housekeeper, your typical work pattern would be 2-6 hour shifts within the hours of 10am – 4pm with a reasonable amount of flexibility to fit around your other commitments and work/life balance. Occasional weekends may be needed. Contracts upwards from 10 hours per week are available.

Initially you’ll be buddied up with a colleague who knows more about the Host with Grace way and they’ll be on hand to answer any questions or assist with housekeeping issues as they arise.

We are looking for 1-3 motivated and experienced cleaners to join our professional and friendly team. Whether you are already registered as self-employed or looking to join as an employee, we would love to hear from you!

Employees will benefit from 28 days holiday pay (pro rata), pension, full training, and insurance.

TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

· Responsible for all basic cleaning in the holiday rental properties; bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and living/outside areas.

· Clean floors and rooms including: mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, picking up larger objects off the floor, and spot cleaning glass and windows.

· Restocking dispensers, emptying bins, cleaning and sanitising fixtures, cleaning mirrors, cleaning bathrooms and kitchens,

· Deeper periodic cleans including ovens and fridges

· Remake beds and transport dirty laundry to the laundrette

· Recording missing or damaged items and promptly notifying Head Office

· Follow detailed cleaning checklists methodically to ensure all tasks are completed timely, efficiently and to a high quality

· Putting together a welcome hamper (on occasion if candidate interested)

· A keen eye for detail and awareness of general standards of cleanliness and hygiene

· A reasonable degree of physical fitness

· Flexible in availability

Education, Experience and Licensing Requirements

· Previous cleaning experience essential

· Valid driver’s license and own transport

· Live in or near Salisbury, Wiltshire

· 2 references

· For self-employed cleaners, we require a tax reference number.
