JOB DESCRIPTION
Looking for a School Office Manager whose background and experience will enable them to fill this busy and diverse role and take an active part in determining the strategic direction and governance of the school.
Responsible to Headteacher for:-
- Management of effective administrative, financial and personnel systems.
- Effective management of the school buildings and environment and compliance with legislation in co-operation with the Senior Site Technician
- Leadership and management of office and support staff in school
- Management of external contracts, e.g. cleaning, general maintenance, grounds and catering
- Ensuring a safe and appropriate working environment
Looking for someone with:-
- Certificate in School Business Management or equivalent (or willingness to undertake relevant training)
- Excellent levels of numeracy and literacy skills
- Initiative, drive and motivation
- Organisational skills
- Good understanding of IT
- Basic knowledge of building maintenance
- Ability to manage a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills and good working knowledge of council IT systems and procedures
- Good sense of humour
- Ability to calmly and effectively prioritise workload and respond to school issues as they arrive
