The Administrative Officer role is key to the Children’s Services Complaints Team and wider Service, providing a high quality admin support function.

We are looking for an experienced admin to join our friendly team who has proven administrative, IT and communication skills. The ability to multi-task, work under pressure and handle complex sensitive data is essential as is attention to detail.

The team is a hybrid of office based and home working and your key stakeholders will be senior managers within Hampshire County Council. This role is not externally customer facing; however the nature of the role is heavily reliant on attention to detail and clarifying, in easily understood terms, complicated events. Therefore, experience within these environments would be desirable.

As part of this role you will work as part of a team, supporting others whilst also managing your own workload. Time management and prioritisation is crucial within this role and you will be expected, after a period of training, to take ownership of completing your allocated work to a high standard and within the deadline.

You will be working in a friendly team and will be a valued part of a highly reputable organisation.

You will possess excellent communication and organisational skills, plus GCSE passes at grade C or above in Maths and English. You should have good IT skills and be confident in using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Experience of using SharePoint is also desirable.

Excellent communication skills are essential within this role as you'll be in frequent contact with colleagues within the department.

You'll need a positive and flexible approach to teamwork and the ability to work with your own initiative.
