Legal Assistant
Litigation team / Private Client team
Based in the Northampton office
25 days holiday + BHs.
Attractive salary dependent on experience.
Annual bonus related to achievement of fee income targets

This role will be working within a friendly, well established and approachable team.
Responsibilities include:
- Dealing with queries raised by clients, solicitors and other involved parties
- Making detailed attendance notes of all correspondence
- Opening/closing files, keeping files updated with correspondence (electronic and hard copy) and ensuring compliance with SRA regulations/firm style
- Administrative support (including photocopying and scanning etc)
- Drafting basic letters and preparing/submitting basic legal documents
- Completing legal forms, registering legal documents and submitting applications to the Court
- Maintaining contact lists and calendars for fee earners
- Monitoring deadlines
- Preparing bundles/ebundles for Court
- Preparing and submitting bills to the finance team for fee earners
- Reception cover
- Preparing and taking the banking and post.
Requirements for this role include:
- Preferably previous work experience as legal assistant/secretary
- Satisfactory knowledge of day-to-day operations of a legal office
- Advanced computer literacy (word, excel, outlook)
- Working knowledge of case management software
- Proficiency in English
- Excellent administrative and organisational skills
- Ability to juggle multiple activities and work under pressure
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
