You will be part of a small team, working closely with the production team to ensure they've got the materials to make the products. The role will involve raising purchase orders, buying a wide range of parts, electronic components and sheet metal items, with daily use of the MRP system. You will also get involved in managing supplier relationships, looking for new ones or improving the relationship (and cost saving!) with existing suppliers.

The Candidate: Purchasing Assistant

You will be pro-active, keen to learn and will have most of the following skills and experience:

• Experience of purchasing engineering items: this could be fixings, fasteners, PCBs, switches, resistors, sheet metal to name some
• Experience in a similar role such as Junior Buyer, Buyer, Purchasing Assistant, Operations Assistant, Procurement Officer, Supply Chain Coordinator
• Previously worked within a small to medium-sized company.
• ERP or MRP experience – it doesn’t matter which one!

You will probably live in or around one of these places: Bournemouth, Poole, Southampton, Wimborne, Christchurch, Totton, Ringwood, Fordingbridge, Salisbury
