Junior Commercial Analyst

OVERVIEW:

We're expanding our Commercial Analytics team with a Junior Commercial Analyst. This opportunity exists to help drive commercial value via improved sales, efficiency or margin by contributing to business performance analysis for the business. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

• Support in the creation and delivery of timely, actionable insight into business performance, market trends, customer behaviors and marketing performance in order to drive strategic, customer-led decisions that drive forward future commercial performance
• Track the key metrics that are impacting business performance across all of our key markets, providing insight into growth drivers, and recommendations to improve
• Understand profitability for different cohorts of customers and products, helping in the production of models that will advise strategic direction to various teams across the business
• Have an understanding of who the Gymshark consumer is, having knowledge across their demographics, needs, behaviors, motivations and barriers. Monitoring this over time and translating this into effective marketing strategy.
• Delivering GTM insights, supporting regional brand and product campaigns and supporting on regional product investment
• Liaise and collaborate with the Group Data & Insights function
• Build of segmentations and data features that can improve customer experience and marketing effectiveness
• Support in the production of forecast models across a number of different business KPI's and areas, ensuring these are continuously updated factoring in the key drivers of business performance and business strategy
• Support in completing projects that help to better understand pricing and promotional strategy
• Identify specific data needs and quality requirements working closely with the data team to ensure data is available, accurate and corresponds to business needs

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

Essential Criteria:

• Competent SQL skills combined with an understanding of database structures
• A competent presenter and confident in engaging in business discussion and not just providing numbers
• Have a clear and concise communication style with the ability to convey complex issues in a simple manner
• Experience using mathematical/statistical methods is preferable
• Familiarity with the P&L and profitability drivers amongst business KPI's is preferable
• Familiarity with statistical software e.g. R, Python
• Experience across dashboarding tools, such as Tableau
• An understanding of the core KPIs for measuring success in an e-commerce, apparel business

This is a hybrid role and would require the successful candidate to attend at least 3 days a week in GSHQ, Solihull, UK.
