Job Description Summary

We are recruiting for a a Customer Programme Leader to join our busy Civil Portfolio Programs Team in Cheltenham. This is a great opportunity to utilise your commercial experience to support our customers and the internal team.
Youll work closely with the Senior Program Leader to take one of our NPI programs into Service, along with supporting other programs within the portfolio where required.

Job Description

  • - In support of the Snr Programme Leader - Act as voice of customer within GE – driving to ensure customer satisfaction in line with contractual requirements. Drives effective and efficient communication to the stakeholders. Builds relationships both internally and externally and integrates the voice of the customer into program activities. Develop and maintain a high level of customer communication

    • Ensures contractual Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and Statement of Work (SOW) are monitored, delivered, and reported
  • Full review and understanding of our contractual requirements, Source inspections needs etc. and ensure the GE business delivers on what we promise.

    • Manage Production readiness reviews, such as Entry into Service to ensure our deliveries are achieved with the consideration of design for manufacture, developing transition plans, supporting customer reviews, ensuring a collaborative and successful switch over
    • Manage Product lifecycle
    • Lead the cross functional team to ensure program success – achieving assigned business objectives, delivering against milestones and deliverables and ensuring the continuity of the business case
  • - Manage S&OP Process, demand planning of production and spares units -taking information from various sources and translating into appropriate GE forecast considering market intelligence and risk along with being responsible for this detail within GE S&OP review


    • Monitors production of units from the factory removing any barriers as needed and driving to meet on time delivery for the customer and GE, including reactions to any quality defects
    • Management of any financial disputes – seeking resolution to delayed payment, and putting in longer term corrective action where appropriate
    • Work with manufacturing, engineering and quality to manage RMA’s (zero flight hour reworks) – ensuring root cause corrective action is achieved and that the customer receives a replacement unit or the reworked unit in line with their demand
    • Lead & manage customer visits – work to bring the cross functional team together to meet customer requirements and achieve successful assessments
    • Lead and work collaboratively with program stakeholders to ensure program goals can be achieved and that supporting functions are provided with necessary information to work effectively
    • Co-ordinate with supply chain and customer for changes in supplier selection to ensure smooth, compliant transitions
    • Support risk & opportunity sessions in line with program plans and business guidance
  • - Support obsolescence management on the product line - monitor & conduct LTB, bridge buys, use of alternatives, product re-design

    • Support cost out activities
