UX/UI Designer

About the Role:

Full Fat Commerce is seeking a creative and experienced UX Designer to join our team and help us to continue delivering beautiful and groundbreaking work for our clients.

This is a small but growing company, so we are looking for somebody who thrives in that environment. This is a great opportunity for a designer to join an exciting company to hone their skills doing meaningful work for a handful of exciting brands.

What you’ll be doing:

• Working with the lead designer to produce a range of D2C Shopify websites for a variety of clients in fashion, lifestyle, food & beverages
• Creating low fi wireframes and converting these into high quality polished design outcomes in both Desktop & Mobile formats with potential prototyping elements applied
• Being introduced to clients in workshops and kick off calls
• Using Hotjar and Google Analytics to review data to help inform design decisions
• Identify and troubleshoot UI / UX issues on retainer clients
• Working with the Junior Designer to provide support where needed on tasks/projects
• Making an impact within the design team with possible room to introduce new policies and processes where suitable to enhance the team further
• Creating concept designs for the commercial team to support prospective clients

Requirements:

• You have a strong portfolio with detailed case studies that show off your design skills, we’re looking for quality over quantity
• You love being within a small group and are able to communicate well
• You know how to problem solve and overcome issues in creative ways
• You respond well to guidance but understand when to challenge feedback.
• Meeting clients is something you enjoy and are comfortable doing
• Deadlines are not an issue for you, we know you’ve got the time management skills sorted!
• A clear understanding of ecommerce, best practice, trends and design choices which you can apply to your designs.

Desirable Skills:

• Knowledge of Figma (Sketch or Adobe XD are acceptable too)
• Collaborative, but also able to be creative and self-driven
