Daycare Leader (Pre-School-3rd Grade)

FULL-TIME, NON-EXEMPT POSITION: Around 40 hours per week;

DIRECT SUPERVISOR: Afterschool Program Coordinator

The Daycare Leader will work with a team of daycare staff who provide a safe and fun environment for our students to enjoy. Qualities out team shares are adaptation to change, quick problem solving and a positive attitude. The Daycare Leader is responsible for enforcing school and playtime rules, maintaining an organized and risk-prevention atmosphere and engaging students in positive play.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Supervise safety outdoor and indoor play time for Pre-school to 3rd Grade
• Help give breaks to the main teachers in Pre-school to 3rd Grade
• Adhere to and enforce policies and procedures and operate activities in a safe manner in conjunction with school policies.
• Maintain good public relations with students, school staff and parents.
• Be prompt to all work assignments and adhere to the daily schedule and operating calendar.
• Help students problem solve social-emotionally
• Facilitate and engage students in positive play
• Creating an upbeat, positive atmosphere that will welcome all students to have fun.
