Kitchen Porter - Full Time

Foundation Coffee House are looking for a friendly, outgoing and reliable kitchen porter to join the rest of our team spread across our Northern Quarter and Portland St sites.

Reporting to the kitchen manager you will be ensuring all crockery and equipment are ready for use. You will also be assisting the chefs in basic food preparation when required and have a positive attitude in the workplace whilst maintaining a friendly relationship between front and back of house.

What we are looking for

• Some experience is desirable but not essential as training will be provided
• Reliability
• Someone to remain organised throughout the shift even during busier periods
• A positive attitude on shift
• Someone who is wanting to progress within the company

Job Roles

• Washing crockery and pots to a high standard
• Assisting the chefs in food preparation
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen and kitchen equipment and back of house areas
• Kitchen safety checks using our online compliance system; Trail
• Helping out in other areas when required
• Ensuring you adhere to all of our allergen procedures
• Reporting any breakages/damages to the kitchen manager
• Storing chemicals correctly and measuring out correct amounts in the day to day kitchen schedule

Working hours

• You will approximately 37.5 hours per week
• You will be working a mixture of weekdays, weekends and bank holidays, so your full commitment will be required
• We operate daytime hours although we hold the occasional evening event where we may ask you to work
