Job Title: Residential Team Leader (Residential Care for Children & Young People)
Location: Wigan
Salary: Starting pay from £12.28 per hour - with incentive pay for Sleep In's.
Are you wanting a new role within Care as a Residential Team Leader? Our client based in Wigan is looking for a Residential Team Leader to join their team and help you progress your career.
Residential Team Leader Duties:
- Providing transport for the young people to access different provisions
- To assist the Home Manager and Deputy Manager to in achieve the aims and objectives of the Statement of Purpose and uphold the organisation’s Mission Statement and Values.
- To support and manage the staff team to enable them to meet the needs of the children and young people.
- To work in partnership with other professionals to achieve optimum outcomes for young people.
- Helping the young people access education
- Household duties / Paperwork
- Days out (e.g. social events, shopping, cinema, swimming)
- Contacts, visit, key work meeting and therapy sessions
- Offering guidance, support and structure to their everyday lives
- To ensure each shift is planned and resources allocated.
- To offer supervision and support to staff in line with National Minimum Standards and as directed by the Registered Manager and/or the Deputy Manager.
Qualifications Required:
- NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare-Equivalent Children & Young peoples workforce
- 1-2 years of working within a Residential Ofsted environment- Preferred
