About the team:

We are looking for someone who is curious, motivated, passionate about numbers with finance experience to join us. Our team is responsible for the reconciliation of merchant payments, card scheme settlements and Worldpay accounts.

Our WPG Team support the Global online Ecommerce business including Paypal. They are responsible for reconciling over 135 bank accounts and settle in over 25 currencies.

What you will be doing:

You will be responsible for completing daily reconciliations, investigations and completion of journal postings. You will support the wider team to meet daily cash reconciliations deadlines in a fast paced role. You will also from time-to-time support with projects, process improvements and some compliance and audit work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reconciliation/ Verify WorldPay accounts/ statements in accordance with Reconciliation policy.
  • Accurate completion of account and journal postings
  • Investigation and reporting of erroneous entries and rejected payments/ transactions.
  • Acquire specialist knowledge to provide accurate advice and information to both internal and external sources in a timely and professional manner, taking full ownership through to resolution.
  • Prioritise workload effectively throughout the day to ensure all SLA’s are adhered to
  • Work as part of the team to ensure daily objectives are met.
  • Continually look for ways of improving processes, providing potential solutions and following through to implementation to deliver efficiencies.

What you bring:

  • Proven track record of large-scale reconciliations
  • Considerable finance-based systems experience and proficient in MS Office, especially Excel
  • Experience managing and reporting on large volumes of data
  • High level of analytical skills
  • Passion for attention to detail and getting it right first time
  • Able to prioritise and deliver to deadlines, adaptable to changing priorities
  • Able to manage multiple queries at one time, determined and able to persist through problems and resolve queries
  • Highly motivated, able to work in a fast moving, challenging environment
  • Comfortably and confidently engage with other team members and stakeholders

Added bonus if you have:

  • Qualification or working towards AAT, ACCA, CIMA or Accounting or Finance Degree
  • Payments, acquiring or finance industry experience

FIS has a learning programme and can provide support and funding towards AAT, ACCA, CIMA qualifications.

This is a flexible hybrid role with 2 days a week in the office and 3 days a week working from home. During training you will be required in the office more frequently.
