Canteen Assistant (Part Time)

We are looking to recruit a Canteen Assistant who will be responsible for preparing hot & cold food at our distribution centre in Monkspath - Solihull, West Midlands.

Pay, working hours & benefits:

We offer an hourly pay rate of £10.58 (£8.68 if you are under 21) and you will be guaranteed a minimum of 24 hours per week. Any 4 days from 7 each week (including weekends). We can offer a variety of shift patterns between the hours of 06:00 - 18:00.

Duties:

• Food preparation tasks;
• Cooking and counter serving of meals;
• Receiving and moving of deliveries to kitchen storage;
• Replenishment of fridges
• Cleaning of kitchen utensils, appliances and surfaces.

About You:

This is a busy canteen, so the ability to work under pressure without supervision is essential. Candidates should also be able to communicate effectively and posses general numeracy and literacy skills.

Food hygiene is very important, so a basic food hygiene qualification would be desirable as well as an understanding of workplace health and safety.
