HGV Class 1 Night Driver

We currently have exciting, flexible opportunities for HGV Class 1 Night Drivers (or Cat C&E Drivers as we sometimes call them) to join our growing Maidstone depot.

£16.07 per hour (£15.40 & £0.67 GEO) with an overtime rate of £23.10 once contractual hours are completed.

What You’ll Do:

Our HGV Class 1 drivers usually drive our longer routes in waves, ensuring the safe, efficient driving of vehicles from depots to our clients and other sites in the Hermes network. You’ll ensure parcels are collected and delivered safely, paperwork updated and assist depot staff with heavier items from time to time.

You will be responsible for tail-lifting, both loading and unloading your own vehicle.

Our full-time HGV Class 1 driver roles are 40 hours a week. Full time is any 5 shifts out of 7, rotas are given in advance.

Essential Skills & Experience Required:

• You’ll need a full UK driving licence with HGV Class 1 (Cat C E) entitlements, driver's CPC and digital tachograph. Newly qualified drivers are welcome, however all drivers will need to undertake a short driving assessment.
• Excellent communication skills
• A safety-first mindset
• Reasonable physical fitness
