Credit Manager

Based: HYBRID: Normanton Home

Who are we?

EVO provides sales, marketing, sourcing, delivery, storage and fulfilment services on behalf of manufacturers. All of these services are underpinned by EVO Group’s 350 vehicle transport organisation, Truline.


Role Specification

Role Objective:

  • Line management responsibility for the cash collection team;
  • Ledger management ensuring aged debtors are minimised and realistic cash targets are set and met;
  • Build and maintain positive and pro-active engagement and co-operation with colleagues across the business for the purposes of maximising debtor performance;

What will I be doing?

  • Set monthly cash target and contribute to short term cash forecasting activity
  • Logically explain cash performance over and under cash target expectations
  • Prepare weekly and monthly trade debtor reporting in agreed formats
  • Performance review and objective setting with Cash Collectors
  • Regular ledger performance review and objective setting meetings with Sales & Service colleagues
  • Proactive and positive engagement with customers and colleagues across the business to minimise and resolve issues, examples of which might be:
    • Customer service re general service queries
    • Warehouse re shortage and return issues;
    • Database re account configuration;
    • IT re EDI or other invoicing related configurations;
    • Customers to negotiate settlement of issue specific debt;
    • Finance to ensure bad debt provisions are appropriate and up to date;
  • Regular and timely completion of housekeeping routines to ensure the ledger remains of good quality; i.e. write off and/or contra for aged transactions supported by Board approval

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

Essential

Cash collection in a b2b environment

Line management


Desirable

Personal development and/or coaching

Exposure to and understanding of EDI invoicing

MICM qualified


SKILLS/ ABILITIES

Essential

Management reporting and results presentation

Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (understands common queries and can implement for data analysis and reporting)


Desirable

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (can create complex queries and/or macro’s for data analysis and reporting)
