Position Overview & Specifications

Job Title: Full-Stack Web Developer (Freelance)

Location: Coventry

We are seeking a freelance Full Stack Web Developer to assist with the auditing of our website, to help us understand the issues that are occurring and to provide potential solutions to resolve them. We are looking for somebody to utilise their strongly experienced skillset and expertise both in the front and back end of our website.

Event Support Team is a leading events company that manages events from the planning stage to the day of the event. We specialize in car park and traffic management with our own in-house ANPR system to make ingress and egress as smooth as possible. We have worked at some of the largest events in the world, including the Rugby World Cup, Champions League Final, Olympics, and many more.

Evans Cash and Carry opened in December 2020 and quickly established a reputation for providing the highest level of customer service to both retail and wholesale customers. We are expanding to new locations in the UK, including Erdington Birmingham which opened in November 2022. We offer a wide range of products at discount prices, including food, drink, homeware, and gardenware, and a home delivery service within a 30 mile radius.

A minimum of 5 years of experience in web development and front and back end experience. The ideal candidate will have experience with Laravel software.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a thorough audit of our website, identifying and fixing any technical issues, such as broken links or outdated content.
  • Provide recommendations for improving website functionality and performance, including enhancing the user experience.
  • Collaborate with our team to understand our business goals and implement solutions that align with these goals.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using Laravel.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in full-stack web development, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and server-side languages such as PHP.
  • Experience with Laravel framework, including building and deploying applications.
  • Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • Experience with database management and development, including SQL and NoSQL.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

This is a freelance position with flexible hours, ideally based at our head office in Coventry however this can be negotiated (MUST BE LOCAL TO COVENTRY).
