Junior /Trainee ISO Implementation Consultant

Evalian is seeking a Junior / Trainee ISO Implementation Consultant to join our growing ISO Consultancy Practice.

We are a data protection and cyber security services provider, specialising in data protection compliance, cyber security, penetration testing and ISO certification consultancy and management. Founded in 2018 we have grown to more than 50 people, working from our offices and from home locations.

Our ISO certification consultancy supports organisations in the implementation of ISO certifiable management systems, with our primary focus being on ISO 27001, ISO 22301 and ISO 9001 when combined with ISO 27001 as part of an integrated management system. We also provide internal auditing services to help our clients ensure that their management systems remain compliant with the relevant ISO standard.

The Role

You will report directly to the Head of Practice and support him on short term and longer client engagements. Over time you will be trained to take on your own client workload and to lead your own projects. Activities you may be asked to support include:

• Assist with the benchmarking of new clients against the requirements of ISO standards and document report findings.
• Utilise our existing framework in the drafting of policies, processes and procedures for clients to review and implement.
• Assist with the delivery of project workshops.
• Advise and assist with implementation of ISO focused controls.
• Assist with the conduct of client internal audits and the documentation of audit reports.
• Maintain delivery trackers and client progress reports
• Liaise with external certification bodies on behalf of clients.

The Person

You will have interest in compliance, risk management, information security and/or business continuity and be comfortable working with regulatory or legal type documentation.

You will have at least 1 year’s expereince in a professional working environment, ideally in a compliance or regulatory type role. Experience of working with ISO standards, especially ISO 27001 or ISO 22301 would be an advantage.

Good writing skills are essential, as report drafting is a key part of the job. You will also need good verbal communication skills and be comfortable working with clients in executive roles, as well as technical personnel, either as part of a small team or on your own.

You will need to demonstrate an open and proactive attitude, always putting the requirements of our clients first, and be flexible at times to ensure commitments are met.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is happy to fill gaps in their own knowledge through contoured professional development alongside formal training and on the job mentoring.

The Package

The salary will depend on your experience and qualifications and will be in the range of £25,000-£30,000. A higher salary may be available for candidates with directly relevant experience.

All employees receive 22 days of annual leave and their birthday off in addition to the 8 statutory bank holidays and have the option to receive pension contributions within our scheme. Support for training will also be provided.

Location & Minimum Requirements

You will be required to work from our office in Winchester during your probationary period, to support training and learning from the Head of Practice and colleagues. Thereafter hybrid working based on being in the office 3 days a week is anticipated.
