Creative Lead, Frieze Branded Content

Frieze is the world’s leading platform for modern and contemporary art, dedicated to artists, galleries, collectors and art lovers alike. Frieze comprises three magazines – frieze, Frieze Masters Magazine and Frieze Week – and five international art fairs – Frieze London, Frieze Masters, Frieze New York, Frieze Los Angeles and Frieze Seoul. In October 2021, Frieze also launched No.9 Cork Street, a permanent space for visiting international galleries in the heart of Mayfair, London. Frieze is part of the IMG network. Endeavor is a global sports and entertainment company, home to the world’s most dynamic and engaging storytellers, brands, live events and experiences. The company is comprised of industry leaders including entertainment agency WME; sports, fashion, events and media company IMG; and premier mixed martial arts organization UFC. The Endeavor network specializes in talent representation, sports operations & advisory, event & experiences management, media production & distribution, experiential marketing and brand licensing.

• Lead on editorial and creative concept for Frieze Branded content, supporting the campaigns for Frieze Fairs and other ad-hoc projects
• Oversee required research, collating information and imagery to build the content plan for each campaign
• Develop concepts and ideas for Frieze-branded video and editorial, collaborating with the team in order to generate concepts and brainstorm ideas
• Develop concepts which meet the PR and marketing objectives for each campaign, whilst adhering to Frieze’s values and objectives
• Create and commission content for Frieze brand-related projects across all Frieze media channels, including Frieze.com, Frieze Masters Magazine, and bespoke brand publications and online editorial
• Ensuring image research and clearance, copy editing and sign off for above-outlined content is completed
• Manage and coordinate the delivery of multiple projects from conception to completion in accordance with deadlines
• Line-manage a Content Producer and Production Assistant, as well as multiple freelancers
• Co-manage a Senior Editor

• Create successful editorial and creative concepts that represent Frieze values and objectives

• Ensure the delivery of all fair campaigns and ad hoc projects within provided deadlines and budgets

• Proven ability to work with artists and curators, to produce and deliver digital content
• Strong editorial or communications experience within a related environment such as a commercial gallery, museum, international art fair or publication
• A deep knowledge and understanding of the contemporary art world
• Experience commissioning video

• This is a permanent position.
• Please note this role will be based at our offices in Surrey Street, London.
• Working hours are 10:00 – 18:00, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility on remote working as appropriate
• Unsocial hours may be required, as dictated by the demands of the business schedule
• There will be travel to the US required as part of this role, during events and on shorter trips when required.
