Duties/Responsibilities
Hours: 37.5 per week
Shift Pattern: 9 Day Fortnight Week 1 Monday to Friday between 8am – 16:30pm with 1/2 hour for lunch, Week 2 Monday to Friday between 8am – 16:15pm with 1/2 hour for lunch,
Overtime available paid at: x1.5 Monday to Sunday
Job Purpose:
You will be given training and an understanding of the Installation of Fire detection and alarm systems, aspiration alarm systems and small Electrical Installation works. Training will also include and understanding of how to Install CCTV, access control and security systems. In addition to the onsite training, you will also be required to attend college with both hands on and practical training given.
Duties & responsibilities: · Assist in carrying out Fire detection and alarm, and small Electrical installation · Assist in small Fire detection and alarm modification works and system repairs.
Person Specification
- Studying (or have qualifications) in Maths, English and a Science or craft based subject to a minimum grade C
- Articulate, numerate and IT literate
- Reasonable understanding of FM and Building Services Engineering
- Be able to demonstrate the ability to identify health and safety and environmental issues
- Have good communication skills
- Be resilient under pressure and be able to converse confidently with staff, suppliers and customers at all levels
