Graphic Designer

We have an exciting opportunity to join our growing team of talented and experienced individuals. We are looking for a creative individual with a flair for design, who wants to gain experience within the creative industry and develop skills to fulfil a Graphic Designer role.

We are a busy International PR and Communications Agency, specialising in Public Relations and Publishing for the global maritime sector based in Wingrave, just outside Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire.

You will be ambitious, have an excellent understanding of design, have confident communication skills and be a visual thinker.

The position is full time and will require you to attend the office between 9.00am to 5.00pm with an hour for lunch. Option of hybrid work available.

Daily Tasks:

· Assist Design Manager with designs for print & digital projects

· Liaise with the PR and social media team to help create graphics/designs/videos

· Manage website content via CMS

· Manage Mailchimp accounts to help produce e-shots, newsletters and file reports for campaigns

· Assist design department with digital designs such as Video editing

What we’re looking for

· A confident and creative Graphic Designer with 3-6 years of industry experience behind you

· Exciting portfolio showcasing your design skills

· Experience dealing directly with a diverse client range

· Team player but also be self-sufficient

· Heaps of creative flair with an inspired portfolio and a great attention to detail

· Strong communication skills, confidence and a great attitude

· The ability to multi-task in a fast paced, high pressure environment

· Ambitious and always willing to learn as well as developing your skills

Your Skills:

· BA (Hons) or relevant Graphic Design qualification

· Proficient in Adobe CC: Photoshop, InDesign & Illustrator

· Good understanding of social media

· MS Office packages

· Mailchimp experience helpful (training provided)

· HTML & Content management system skills would also be advantageous but not necessary (training provided)

· Ability to produce artwork from initial brief right up to finished product

· Understanding of accessibility and usability design for the web

· Good verbal and written English language communication skills

· Impressive Typography and Layout skills

· Knowledge creating videos, animation using Prem Pro & After Effects would also be advantageous but not necessary
