Position Overview & Specifications
Students or recent graduates can work alongside our teams to support carrying out project preparation activities contributing to the development of climate mitigation and adaptation projects in developing countries and emerging economies.
Required experience and qualifications
- University degree / student
- Excellent English oral and written communication skills
- Excellent analytical and research skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, empathetic and open
- Proficiency in one or more of the following languages would be considered an asset: Spanish, French, Portuguese, Chinese.
The duties involve:
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative research, including literature reviews and background searches on a broad range of subjects related to sustainable energy and climate change
- Collect data using various methods (e.g. desktop research, interviews, surveys) and analyze data gathered (e.g. policy, barrier, and comparative analysis)
- Devise strategies and interventions based on the situation analysis, best practice and client requirements, prepare recommendations based on the analysis
- Present findings in presentations and reports, revising based on quality management and client inputs
- Produce high-quality blog articles, playbooks, short reports, and other written pieces for our website and newsletter, prepare well-structured drafts, proofread and edit posts before publication
- Support in drafting and post social media content, support in drafting promotional materials for any campaigns, and contribute to project-related marketing, including writing project profiles
- Conduct interviews with our consultants to supplement research done, Research client assignments based on provided documents, analyze and interpret data to form compelling and thought-provoking stories
- Support tender preparation
- Schedule, attend, and contribute to meetings (assignment-related), including providing progress reports
- Contribute to E Co’s after-action reviews, including identification and generation of E Co’s best practices and inputs to E Co’s project formulation
Duration
The internship can last 3-6 months.
Remuneration
The agreed internship will be paid at an agreed monthly rate.
