Young Persons Support Worker

We are recruiting support workers to join our team. Team players who are nurturing and supportive, can provide our young people with high levels of support and allow them to achieve optimum outcomes. Your role is to promote and encourage independence and life skills for our young people, ensuring that their safety and well-being underpin every decision we make.

The role of a support worker will involve:

• Contributing to the young person’s care plans and risk assessments, reviews, and implementation.
• Building professional relationships with the people we support, you’ll enable them to enjoy a wide range of activities at home and in the community.

• Forming effective relationships with young people, their families, and other external agencies.
• Ensuring the home is kept clean and in a tidy condition, encouraging the young people to participate in various activities as appropriate.
• Ensuring that good quality records are maintained as required with supervision and advice from management.
• Maintain and promote support work to high levels of professionalism expected by the organisation and its stakeholders.
• Contribute to the educational and social development of each young person and assist in the implementation of Individual Support Plans.

What we are looking for from you:

• Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People or equivalent (desirable)
• Experience in care settings (desirable)
• Passion to help nurture young people
• Be able to work shift patterns including sleep-ins (Rota pattern provided in advance)

Requirements for an Enhanced DBS and reference checking will be undertaken in line with government regulations and safer recruitment best practices.
