7.5T Home Delivery Driver

DHL, award winning leading supply chain business is seeking a 7.5 Tonne Driver to play a vital role in our distribution service.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?
As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will:

• Working in a 2 person team with the delivery of heavy furniture items and wet installations
• Shift is working any 5 from 7 including weekends, start time from 6am
• The position is based in Bamber Bridge, Preston
• Manual handling is required for this role
• Drive in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Comply with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

• Practical experience as a 7.5 Tonne Delivery Driver, preferably within a logistics environment, other driving related experience will be considered
• Previous experience of the transportation, delivery and final distribution of volume orders
• Hold a valid HGV 7.5 Tonne Driving Licence (C1), Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
• Hold a valid HGV 7.5 Tonne Driving Licence (C1) - If you passed your car driving test before 1997 you will have ‘grandfather rights' and automatically be entitled to this / Car/Van Driving Licence (B)
