Job Title:
Junior Media Assistant (Early Careers)
Job Description:
What is media planning?
Media planning is the process by which marketers determine how, when, and where an audience is given a selected advertising message. Media planners analyse the audiences, channels, and advertisements to determine the most efficient way to communicate a message to the intended audience.
What is Display media?
Display ads are images, videos, or gifs shown to users on websites or apps. Most display advertising uses square, landscape, or skyscraper formats with images, editorial/copy to entice users to click. Display ads resemble ads you might see in a newspaper or magazine, but they appear online instead. Display ads have the potential to significantly improve brand awareness thanks to their visual format. With display marketing, our teams can strengthen brand consistency and visibility, nurture leads, track performance, and support the success of your other media activity.

  • Support the planning team in all aspects of digital planning as required
  • Develop an understanding of the planning process from initial strategy through to campaign launch
  • Start to build relationships with clients and media owners
  • Attend briefing meetings with client team colleagues
  • Develop skills to assess the quality of the briefing to ensure the digital team has the right level of information to respond accurately
  • Learn and develop and understanding of media planning systems such as Nielsen, Comscore, Hitwise and CCS.
About you
No technical skills required, the key focus is transferable skills:
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable with reporting, processing data and formulating insight.
  • Familiar with applications such as Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • A keen interest in media
Benefits
We offer everything you would expect from a large company – like 25 days’ holiday plus your birthday off – and a few additions, like 2 paid volunteering days each year to support charitable causes and 3 wellness days per year.

We also provide pension contributions, life assurance, free eye tests, season ticket loans, private health care, income protection, critical illness cover, a cycle to work scheme, and a whole host of great local and national discounts from leading retailers that you’ll have access to as an employee.
