Tom, John and the team, are looking for hungry and ambitious people to join the award winning bacon company, Danish Crown. Based in Rochdale, Greater Manchester, in a brand new state of the art food factory. We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated candidates who are ready to bring home the bacon.

Area of responsibility

We are looking for an experienced Planning Manager to lead a team that creates optimised production plans and forecasts for food production. Understanding our end to end production supply chain to organise production requirements in line with material availability and customer needs.

Specific Tasks

· Develop, implement, and maintain a production planning system to ensure the production facility is fully optimised and full on time deliveries are sent to our customers

· Processing customer forecasts in dialogue with our commercial team and customers to create through demand planning overviews

· Implementing strong communication channels internally to optimise the S&OP process

· Working with processing software to create planning, inventory & usage overviews that are used for planning & execution

· Build, manage & lead the planning function and the direct reports within the team

· Cultivate strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers

Identify and drive continuous improvement within operations to streamline processes

Education and Experience

Experience & Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain Management or other related Business discipline is desired.
· _Supply Chain Certification is desirable e.g. ???
_· A minimum of 3 to 5 years relevant Supply Chain Management experience (Planning, Logistics or Experience in Planning/Purchasing.
Experience in the use of SAP would be beneficial.

· Knowledge of Database software; Inventory software; Manufacturing software; Order processing systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software (Microsoft Office Products)

· Developing influential relationships with internal and external stakeholders

· Management of planning in a large scale manaufacturing site, ideally in the food industry

· Knowledge of relevant food and manufacturing legislation

· Ability to multi-task and prioritise workload

· Ability to communicate effectively

· Experience of working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders across the business

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £36,000.00-£39,000.00 per year
