Permanent Teaching Assistant

Northside Primary School

37 hours per week, term time only, 38 weeks + 1

Salary: Grade 5B £21,968 FTE, Actual pro rated salary £18,790 p/a

Northside Primary School is a school very much at the heart of the local community. It has a long and proud tradition of educating and inspiring the children of west Cumbria. The trustees of our happy and forward-thinking school with superb facilities, located in Workington, seek to employ an enthusiastic and energetic Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and hard-working team, as soon as possible.

Northside Primary School is a school led with vision, honesty and integrity keeping our children at the heart of all we do. We are part of the Cumbria Education Trust, CET which is a growing multi academy trust based in Cumbria; and is committed to creating outstanding, innovative and inspiring learning environments for our schools and their communities.

The successful candidate will be joining Northside as part of CET at an exciting time, as we continue to build on our successes and move forward on our journey.

Ideally, you will be an experienced TA willing to work across all year groups who may be deployed to work across any year group in school, at the Headteacher’s discretion.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be a good communicator committed to being part of an effective support team within the whole school community
  • Set high expectations and have a commitment to supporting learners to achieve well
  • Be self-motivated, adaptable and reliable
  • Have experience of working across a range of ages and abilities
  • Have experience of working with young children with SEND/SEMH needs.
