Position Overview & Specifications

We have an exciting opportunity for a full time Project Support Officer to work as part of the Best Start, Community Health and Wellbeing Service in the Together for Families Directorate.


Cornwall Council is one of 14 local authorities awarded trailblazer status for the Family Hubs and Best Start for Life programme to become national leaders in providing joined-up support for parents and carers so they can nurture their babies and children, improving health and education outcomes for all.


The purpose of this role is the co-ordination of the programme plan requirements for the Best Start, Community Health and Wellbeing Service.


The role holder will be expected to demonstrate high level project co-ordination skills, develop and manage specific projects and particular areas of work, as necessary, ensuring key milestones and deadlines are met. This may include co-ordinating projects simultaneously, ensuring planning, organising and prioritising workload to meet project deadlines. The role holder will need to work independently and take responsibility for booking and co-ordinating the key training requirements of the programme.
