Position Overview & Specifications

Family Worker - 3 posts available


We are looking to appoint 1 full time Family worker in Penwith (Penzance, Hayle and St Ives) and one part time 0.8 and one full time in the Kerrier area (Camborne, Redruth, Pool, Helston and the Lizard).


Family Workers work as part of multi-disciplinary team when children, young people and their families need co-ordinated support at times of increased need and difficulty this is within both our Social Care & Early Help Teams

Family Workers carry out assessments with children and families (-9months to 18 years ) devise plans of intervention, and undertake direct work .To do this you will be trained to utilise a range of evidence-based approaches including Signs of Safety, the Family Partnership Model & Motivational Interviewing and will deliver accredited Parenting Programmes. Cornwall Council have a good training programme and excellent career progression.


All roles involve travelling so having access to a vehicle is essential.
