Position Overview & Specifications

QA Software Tester, Intranet Consultancy and Software Vendor, Remote/London

Who are we?

· Content Formula is a small, friendly and growing consultancy and software vendor.

· Our main focus is the design, build and support of intranets and digital workplace tools on SharePoint and Office 365.

· We also have two software products – one for intranet and internal communications and the other for policy management.

· Our clients are all shapes and sizes from large, international blue-chip organizations that have global online communication needs through to smaller companies with 100+ staff. The big names include Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, Mulberry, Severn Trent Water, Legal & General and lots more.

Who are you?

You are a bright individual with a personable nature, highly organised and like working with others from different countries and backgrounds. You have 2+ years of commercial experience working as a Software Tester, ideally with knowledge of SharePoint. This means:

· You have experience working with Developers, Product Owners and Project Managers to establish the testing requirements of the team

· You record problems and issues in accordance with the project’s problem and issue management plans

· You take part in planning activities

· You work with the application team and/or client to resolve any issues that arise in the testing process

· You work with your team to build quality into the delivery process

· You possess careful attention to detail

· You have a broad set of skills and are always working to improve and learn

· You have a good understanding of the key principles of web design including user interface, usability, accessibility, and web standards

· You have created and implemented test plans for a range of different sized projects and programmes

Expected skills

· Functional testing, integration testing, system testing, release testing, exploratory testing, cross browser testing

· Working experience with the full end to end cycle of testing, writing test scripts and executing tests, as well as control over environment management

· Good combination of both manual and automation testing experience is advantageous

· Experience in supporting and maintaining test environments

· Experience in planning, writing and maintaining test suites

· Experience in requirements analysis and feedback

· Understanding of Version Control Systems (GIT)

· Skilled in JIRA and/or DevOps

· Experience in Software Development Life Cycle processes such as Waterfall and Agile (Scrum)

Roles and responsibilities

· Creating and managing test plans across a full range of projects

· Ensuring a quality delivered product

· Perform testing across all layers in the software development life cycle

· Work on client site during UAT period
