Calibration Technician
Location: Tipton
Salary: £20,000 - £22,000 per annum
Job Type: 37.5 hours per week, Permanent
Overtime paid for additional hours worked
CTS Group are looking for someone to join our growing team in Tipton. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to earn as they learn. This particular part of the group specialise in Construction Materials Testing and Torque and Force Calibration Services, and holds current UKAS Accreditation in both fields.
We have a great in-house team that will ensure you have all the training you need, so no experience is necessary!
It may be cliché, but we guarantee that no two days are the same in this role, so if you like variety this could be the perfect role for you.
Day to day responsibilities:
- Identification in the laboratory of each day’s urgent work schedule and priority client requirements of 24hour turnaround notifications etc.
- Observation of the senior calibration staff carrying out calibration of various pieces of equipment and learning to assist them and get involved gradually in the initial stages of calibration
- Studying the procedures for each type of instrument calibration and familiarisation with the relevant British standards
- Learning how to calibrate basic instruments such as force gauges and torque wrenches to begin with.
Skills required
With the high level of accuracy that is required in the role, we are looking for someone that has great mathematical and literacy skills and exceptional attention to detail.
