HGV Class 2 Driver

Position: HGV Driver Class 2

Location: Canterbury, Kent.

Reports to: Transport Manager.

Hours: 48 hours a week guaranteed Monday - Friday.

An opportunity has arisen within the transport department at our Canterbury site. We are looking for two Class 2 Drivers to join our expanding team.

Hours of work will be based on a 48-hour week and include early starts. The successful candidates need to demonstrate flexibility as required by this key role.

The roles will report to the site Transport Manager.

REQUIREMENTS

• Class 2 licence
• All relevant cards
• Good communication skills
• The role is customer and supplier facing so building a relationship with customers as a face of Clayton Glass.

DUTIES

The following list is typical of the level of duties which the post holder is expected to perform or be responsible for. It is not exhaustive and other duties of similar type and level may be expected from time to time.

• Both roles are delivering to multiple sites across the South East, full training will be given in the handling of glass, securing loads, etc.
• Maintaining the highest professional driving standards and legal requirements.
• Ensuring your vehicle is maintained to a high standard in cleanliness and safety.
• Completing delivery paperwork.
• Supporting the despatch department in packing and loading vehicles when required.
• The role will require an amount of flexible working.
