Student Placement – Engineering

As the market leader of waste compaction equipment in the UK and throughout Europe, we pride ourselves on our innovative engineering, dedicated customer service and aftersales support.

Role

Students in the Engineering department will have opportunity to gain experience in the full remit of engineering, including new product development from concept to delivery both for bespoke installations and continued company product portfolio improvements. Duties within the role will include:

• Initial concept drawing

• 3D Modelling

• Detailed engineering drawings for manufacture

• Amend drawings for bespoke customer changes

• Manage customer queries

• Site visits to assess installation

• Liaise with manufacturing team to ensure projects run to schedule

• Source materials and parts

• Maintain technical specifications and user documentation

• Completion of BOMs

• Adhere to all Health and Safety regulations

Whilst the role is part of an existing engineering team, the student placement will be expected to work with a certain level of autonomy, managing several projects simultaneously, and reporting to the relevant parties accordingly.
