Junior/Graduate Veterinary Staff Writer
Vision Media is a media agency that specialises in marketing and design services for the veterinary industry and a publisher of veterinary news websites and magazines.
We are seeking a junior/graduate staff writer to join our friendly team of editors and graphic designers. Located in Suffolk, this is an office-based role where you will be writing for print and digital publications on various topics.
· Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited, to:
· writing daily news articles for MRCVSOnline and VNOnline
· writing feature articles for PetFocus magazine.
· assisting with all social media platforms, ensuring content is of high quality and well-written
· creating copy for our expanding base of veterinary clients, including job adverts, flyers and digital brochures
· proofreading articles for spelling, grammar and punctuation
Essential requirements:
- strong written communication skills
- an ability to write on a range of topics for different audiences
- a desire to progress and develop skills
- excellent attention to detail
- a confident, can-do attitude with the willingness to go the extra mile
- good ability to prioritise work and recognise problems.
Desirable requirements:
- a qualification in a relevant subject, such as English, media or journalism
- an interest in all thing’s animal-related
- relevant experience in writing
- knowledge of Photoshop and WordPress.
There will be a writing challenge as part of the pre-interview process and you will have 14 days to complete the tasks.
Ideally this is a full-time role, but part-time will be considered
