An exciting opportunity has risen to work in our bed-based unit at St Peter’s Ward in Hemel Hempstead Hospital. St Peter’s Ward is a 20 bedded rehabilitation unit working as part of Herts Division Bedded Unit for Central London Community Healthcare.
We are looking for a dynamic Band 5 Registered Nurse with experience in acute or community hospital. You need to have a passion for working with patients during their rehabilitation enabling them to regain maximum self-sufficiency and return home.
Working as part of the Multidisciplinary team, you will deliver adapted nursing and rehabilitation care to patients and will be supported by the senior experienced nursing staff and the highly skilled therapy team. This is a full-time position of 37.5 hours per week with shifts pattern covering night and day.
You must demonstrate excellent communication skills and offer care in a kind and compassionate manner. You need to be active, innovative, diligent and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- The post holder will be a member of the ward team, working predominately on day duty, but internal rotation will be necessary onto nights in line with service needs
- The post holder may be required to take responsibility for the shift in the absence of senior staff. The post holder will be responsible for the assessment, planning and evaluation of patient care, following the guidance of the NMC Code of Conduct, Trust and Hospital policies
- A commitment to health promotion, teaching and training is essential
